We had a great evening at book club, though unfortunately Nicholas Searle 's debut novel 'The Good Liar' wasn't such a great read. It felt like the first half of the book had been written by a different person than the second half. The story and characters had great potential but the author failed to really engage us and let down the book with poor writing and lacklustre characters. We scored the book 4.25 out of 10, our lowest score yet. Next month we will be putting forward our book suggestions for the next 6 months ready for voting and agreeing meeting dates.
