Craft Clubs
Crafts are a popular part of our main meetings, so it's no surprise we have TWO clubs for members to enjoy...
The Crafty Crew are currently meeting at Diane's house on Pewsham, unless stated otherwise in this year's programme. A donation of £1 per person per session may be charged for materials we can't supply from our stashes. Keep an eye on the Diary, Facebook, or our main meeting minutes for reminders of the next meet and make details.
Skill not necessary just lots of enthusiasm!
The Crew like to try all kinds of crafts, supplemented with the occasional show and tell of individual projects on the go, or an expert demo from a Crew member.
The Crew have also led several sessions at main group meetings and are always on the lookout for simple makes which will work with all abilities.
The Happy Hookers is led by Gill following a successful Skillshare in late 2019. Anyone who likes to crochet is welcome, beginner or experienced! Meet at Gill's house on the third Saturday of the month, unless stated otherwise in the programme, which also has details of this year's makes. Bring your own preferred materials, though we also have a handy stash courtesy of Kay when needed.
In addition, there are occasional larger projects which all Belles - not only the Craft clubs - contribute to such as the 'traffic light' hats many members knitted for the premature baby unit at the RUH, and the collective Chippenham WI poppy cascade displayed in Emery Gate.
The Happy Hookers have several community projects earmarked for 2024 and would love our knitting Belles to join them in a couple of makes for our local charities. Full details are in the link above..
