Book Club reviews the Taj Mahal

The Book Club was delighted to return to the Taj Mahal after a two year absence to review the menu. Judging by the reaction to the evening, this one scored 10 out of 10, we do love a good curry! 16 members - with the invitation given to our wider WI - enjoyed a variety of dishes and spiciness. Lateral Flow Tests and mask wearing made the event as safe as possible under the current circumstances.

We also enjoyed a Secret Santa with a twist, with attendees wrapping a book with just a few cryptic clues to its content. Wendy reprised her role a Santa from the Christmas Party to distribute the books at random!

Normality returns in the new year with our review of Anthony Horowitz's Moonflower Murders. We'll meet at 7.30pm on January 11th either at the Flying Monk, or on Zoom depending on Covid circumstances.

If anyone wants a good read during the holidays, then our book of the year is Bernadine Evaristo's Girl, Woman, Other, closely followed by Richard Osman's Thursday Murder Club.
