April's main meeting had a poignant side to it as we said farewell to Kim, not only as our President but also as a Belle as she prepares for a new life and adventure north of the border. We couldn't let her go without our good wishes and thanks for all she's done for us in these unprecedented times, plus a few mementoes to remember us by. We hope she continues as a virtual member by saying hello on Facebook from time to time.
In case you were wondering, the message in Kim's card from all of us reads:
"Dear Kim,
Thank you for being our President - especially during such challenging times which made your our first - and hopefully last - virtual one. Your kindness, sense of fun and fair play have all come to the fore since you joined and it's been a delight to have you in our Belles. We're sad to see you go, but can't wait to hear about your new adventures in a new country, well Scotland. May your move be everything you've hoped for and more, and we'd love to see your smiling face join us from time to time in Facebook land.

"Pewsham Belles, I know I’ve said before but you are a force of nature. The most welcoming, friendly & slightly eccentric groups of ladies and I could not have joined a better WI for my first experience of the Womens Institute - so far removed from the Jam & Jerusalem stereotypes (I still can’t make jam or sing Jerusalem).
You are the first of many “see you soon’s” over the coming weeks, so thank you for being you and for my gifts.
