Well not quite wearing the green willow, but we did have plenty of it to play with at our monthly meeting! As Ann said on Facebook:
"What a great evening! I was very impressed with the trays people created. Thanks to Geoff Travers and the team for the chance to try our hands at willow weaving." Judging by the comments left afterwards, this craft was thoroughly enjoyed and everyone was pleased with their trays, even if it was a bit fiddly or tough on the hands in the making!
Here are a few photos of the Belles at work, and various stages of the tension trays (aka Catalan tray) we created. As well as making a great platter-style tray, Geoff showed us one of his gorgeous woven baskets where the tray is used to form the base.
