Off to the palace

Blenheim Palace that is! Three Belles - Jenny P, Michelle and Pauline - joined other local WIs for the trip organised by Kington Langley WI recently. On the whole they had a lovely day, but were a little disappointed the preparations for two special events, plus the couture display made it more difficult to appreciate the Palace's grandeur.

Their highlights were the Churchill exhibition; exploring the wider estate - the cascade in particular; the butterfly house; riding on 'Winston', the train which goes between the main palace and the walled garden; and the enterprising female duck visiting the cafe!

Naturally, lashings of cake were consumed - by them... and the duck!
