The Belles are back!

It's great to see Kim thoroughly enjoyed her first live meeting as President in the return to our indoor 'home' this month!*

"Well it’s safe to say the first Belles meeting in the Pewsham Community Centre in 19 months was buzzing!!

It was so lovely to hear the busy chatter as everyone settled into the hall, excited hellos and how are yous rang out at every turn. We settled down to a wonderful talk by Fee from the Wiltshire Bee Centre & some Belles were brave enough to have a look into the honey bee hive Fee brought with her.

We rounded the evening off with a chocolate biscuit & more nattering. A success all round."

Fantastic to see all the thought around planning a safe return to the Hall went well and enjoyed by so many of our members. Fiona P said:

"Fabulous evening! So lovely to see old friends and meet some new ones. The noise a bunch of women can make is quite remarkable!" and Trudi added: "Really enjoyed tonight, Fee's talk was brilliant."

* = yes, she was at the Party in the Park in July, but this was our first full meeting back at our usual venue.

Elsewhere this month, Book Club enjoyed "The Adventures of the Yorkshire Shepherdess" on the whole, though some struggled with the conversations in dialect and its repetitive nature. The Happy Hookers have embarked on their seasonal makes (more to come at a later date), and the Unofficial Supper Club tried The Pewsham (formerly the Lysley Arms) - a new venue for the Belles. The Boneyard Belles found 'The Victorian Way of Death" fascinating on their tour around Bath Abbey's cemetery, and our green fingered Belles showed off their blooms for this year's sunflower growing. Finally Our Town enjoyed Chippenham's contribution and all kinds of art on the Peacock Trail.
