The Book Club had an enjoyable catch up and book review of The Thursday Murder Club. At last a book we all enjoyed! For some it's still a read in progress and reports from them say it's an enjoyable read too.
It's an easy read with plenty of humour plus sharp observation of the care home system. We had quite different pictures of the characters in our heads because the narrative style doesn't lend itself to their descriptions, but that didn't spoil the enjoyment.
We scored this book 8 out of 10 overall which is a good one from us (it goes into our top 10), with several comments that a less muddled ending would have put the score amongst our most exceptional reads.
Our next and last book of this set is Just My Luck by Adele Parks and we'll meet on 8th June.
