January saw our first set of linked activities in the shape of the talk given at the main meeting by Dr Nick Murry of Avon Needs Trees, followed by the Our Town sub-group helping them plant the final trees at their Stanley Lane site a couple of days later. You can read more in the post about the tree planting day and we LOVE the idea of helping to create a lasting legacy within our wider community.
Elsewhere this month, the Book Club reviewed Anthony Horowitz's Moonflower Murders and could have done without his 'two books for the price of one' approach to storytelling. The Happy Hookers made some coronaviruses ready go in The Covid Chronicle exhibition at the Museum later this year, and the Crafty Crew satisfied themselves that the cute gonk make is suitable to bring as a group activity in March. Finally, the Theatre group laughed and enjoyed The Great Christmas Escape at the Ustinov theatre in Bath.
