June Meeting: Down on the farm

We had a great time visiting Carolyne's farm for a walk, with plenty of time with the animals, followed by sausages and cake. Pauline was particularly taken with the donkeys, as you can see. A great evening was had by all, and those who couldn't make it were green with envy! Elsewhere in June we had a stall at the Chippenham Family Fun Day in John Coles Park. It was rather hot on the day, so sadly lots of residents chose to go elsewhere. The Crafty Crew's attendance also suffered in the heat, but they still managed to produce some lovely felted animals and hearts. The Theatre Group had a double bill of visits and thoroughly enjoyed Austentatious at The Pound in Corsham, and Shirley Val

A good year for theatre

The theatre group has settled in nicely in its first year with trips to a variety of local shows to suit all tastes. Productions seen include: Stepping Out and Pride and Prejudice at Bath; Shirley Valentine and the author Gervase Phinn in Swindon; the Vienna Ballet at The Neeld in Chippenham and Austentatious at The Pound in Corsham. Here's to more theatrical delights!

Family Fun Day

We hosted a stall at the Family Fun Day in John Coles Park on 18th June. It was a scorcher of a day, thank you to the members that came along and supported the stand. We hope to have encouraged more ladies to come along and join us at one of our sessions.

Crafty Crew June Gathering

Unfortunately not many of us managed to make the June Crafty Crew session, but those that did made lovely felts owls and hearts. Don't they look great!

Austentatious!

Another great evening for the theatre group watching "Austentatious" at The Pound in Corsham. Very funny and clever - highly recommend if you get a chance to see it.

Shirley Valentine

Another great evening for the Pewsham Belles Theatre Group enjoying the fantastic one woman show Shirley Valentine at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon. Huge respect to Jodie Prenger.

Up the cut

We had a lovely canal trip from Bradford on Avon despite the rain. Delectable cream tea with a spot of stag do silliness on shore and plenty of waterside attention from the swans!. Thanks to Lockside for inviting us to join you.
