The committee had great fun taking everyone their Christmas care packs recently along with an enticing invitation from Kim for a get together on Zoom to use some of the contents to make Christmas decorations.
The pack's cinnamon sticks, beaded berries and orange slices were all garnered from the wreath making left overs from 4 years ago, which Clare rescued from her loft recently and handed over to Kim. A small top up of newly dried orange slices from Steph, plus some butcher's string or twine from Kim's stores and we were good to go for a relaxed evening of making or not making, plus plenty of chat and laughs. Suitably seasonal attire was also in evidence!
A quick Google of "cinnamon stick ornaments" reveals plenty of ideas for simple makes - the one on the right in particular is well suited to the care pack's materials provided.
Caroline treated us to a live Christmas song quiz. Note the moose on the right also sings an Elvis version!
It's been good to see follow up photos of the results. These are Teresa's decorations...
... and several members have made the card which was also in the care pack. This is Carolyn's.
Merry Christmas everyone!
