It's time to catch up with what our craft groups have been up to the past few months. Both the Crafty Crew and Happy Hookers have met with several new members welcomed along. It's been great to have gentle meetings centred around making something as a group activity.
We've found paper based activities work well for the Crafty Crew as members are likely to have the materials to hand and these tend to be simpler makes. The paper roses (cue music!) and beads made so far show simple materials can have very different outcomes.
After poppy making, the Happy Hookers have tried their hand at making bunting, pretty lace squares, beaded glass covers and placemats. The results from the latter show very different outcomes can be obtained from the same pattern depending on the materials and needle size chosen.
We look forward to seeing further makes from both groups! If you fancy having a go at these makes, the following video guidance may be useful: Paper beads: https://youtu.be/jMG40809rws
