It was lovely to see the Crafty Crew gather again on Saturday via Zoom to make flowers out of scrap materials. All that's needed is 5 circles of cloth (jam jar sized) and a button, plus a needle and thread to bring it all together. This was a simple and quick make so there was plenty of time for the Crew to have a good catch up with each other.
Diane has made many flowers and showed lots of different ways they could be used to embellish bags, belts, hairbands and baskets. Dinah quickly showed how her flower could add the finishing touch to the shoulder bag she's made recently. The Crew thought magnets and brooches were other possibilities. There's plenty of scope for additional ideas and versatility too as Diane also showed a completed flower with more than 5 petals and Wendy used her circles to make a more anemone-like flower.
It's a simple make which punches well above its weight in adding a stylish personal touch to many items whether they're bought or home made.
Thanks Diane for a cheerful and inspirational afternoon.
