The Knatty Knitters put the bunting out for us on Saturday! * We had a great turnout for coffee at Sarah Jayne's first where we welcomed new member Julia fresh from her Parkrun volunteer duties, plus prospective member Ann and 7 Belles. We then walked smartish down to the Neeld Hall at 11am so that we could take our pick of the free trees at the town's first Eco Future Fest. Hazel, holly and hawthorn were the picks from those on offer.
There were a lot of stalls to peruse, a good turnout of people, plus we played our part with the donation of lots of seed for the Rooted project's seed swap on their stall. We even helped one lady choose some flower seeds suitable for her garden! We also hopped upstairs to view the accompanying eco themed art competition. Fiona P and Michelle have crossed fingers for winning water butts to come their way, and/or for inclusion in Wessex Water's exciting Community Connectors pilot project.
A great, positive event, the first of many we hope.
* = and for everyone else visiting Chippenham High Street ;)
