Fringe February

Seven Belles met up for coffee at Sarah Jayne's cafe on Saturday morning and then went on to sample the free activities available for Fringe February that day. We all* enjoyed finding and solving the movie clues dotted around the town centre (with much googling needed!); made various marks and pictures on the tiles being prepared for the community mural; and laughed at the footballing stilt walkers. A smaller number went on to the poetry and creative writing activities later. Michelle also found one of the Monsters up for adoption left by the Knatty Knitters in various spots around town.

It was great to see the town a-buzz with the various goings on, particularly the number of groups and families all taking part in the movie quiz**. Kudos to Mel at the Museum who pointed out the authentic looking museum poster was actually a clue, and to the assistant in Waterstones who gave the general area where their clue was located to anyone who asked.

We had a great time!

* it was actually six, but the seventh was actually performing with the Allsorts choir!

** sadly we didn't find them all, but we did find two extra film titles in a couple of shop windows
