It's all about the flowers

July's Happy Hookers was all about flowers as we're taking part in Yarndale's worldwide creative project again. As in previous years, all contributions will be used to make various displays for September's Yarndale event. The photo shows the ones we made plus extras Pauline did prior to our meeting.

If you'd like to contribute, we will continue to make more flowers on an ad hoc basis until our next meeting in August. Crochet or knitted contributions are welcome, any flower pattern of your choice in any colour up to 10cm in diameter. Yarndale also have a couple of patterns, 1 each of crochet or knitted if you'd prefer.

UPDATE 14th August: Our final tally sent off today with love from the Belles is 50! Skipper got involved with the photo because it's raining. We're delighted to take part in Yarndale for the third year running. Our next community project is to make some Trauma Teds for the local fire brigade and by coincidence we found the crochet version was a Yarndale project in 2019!

PS at August's meeting we revisited African Flowers, which we did via Zoom during lockdown in 2021. Much nicer in-person this time around!
