This year's 'get unstuffed' walk proves popular

Thirteen walkers turned out for this year's post-Christmas walk (the third one we've had) on Saturday, making it the most popular yet. I'm sure the combination of a weekend date, plus the value we've found in getting outside under lockdown helped make it so.

This year, Fiona P took on the organising mantle and decided that a variation of Diane's walk would be a good one, with a group meeting up in town to start the walk in Monkton Park and join up with Pewsham based Belles outside the Cemetery entrance on London Road.

In the end she had to make 3 separate groups to stay within Government guidelines, with Pewsham residents forming one and two further ones departing from Monkton Park. Different start times were given, but each group still managed to briefly meet up with at least one other for smiles and waves from a distance. A coffee stop at the end (in the middle for the Pewsham group) rounded things off nicely.

Despite the ravages of storm Bella the night before, it turned out to be a gloriously sunny day, the best yet!
