Walking the heritage trails

October's Walkie Talkies meet up was kindly organised by Victoria and involved a trip to Corsham to pick up the Blue Heritage Trail which starts from the Springfield Centre. This proved a popular move and in the end two groups were formed with different start times in the morning to prevent the possibility of mingling and contravention of the current Covid-19 Tier 1 guidelines.

In the end, the earlier walk plumped for the Red Heritage Trail which extends westwards and takes in GWR railway and Bath stone mining heritage. The Blue walk goes eastwards mainly in the grounds and surroundings of Corsham Court. Both walks are in the region to 4.5 to 5 miles long.

It was a perfect autumnal day and both groups enjoyed their walks. The top photos are from the Red walk and also shows the cake reward at Grounded at the end! The following photos are from the Blue walk which shows they also had the opportunity to experience the Story Town events in Corsham High Street.
