A full house for the Crafty Crew

It was a full house for last night's Crafty Crew where we welcomed Caroline for the first time and everyone decided to attend after March's no shows. Note it was decided to make a small charge of a £1 per session going forward to cover costs - more than a year on since the Crew was formed, we're getting to the end of our crafty stashes! What a packed evening it was. We made 2 different kinds of paper butterflies, plus some felt roses for the Roses for Rosie fundraiser in June. Sarah told us about some of her voluntary work with Springboard where she has dressed up as the mascot. Apparently it can get quite hot in there! It's clear that the Roses for Rosie initiative is close to her heart. We had some improvements to suggest for the roses video we used as our starting point... make some smaller circles for the centre part of the rose, ditch the glue gun and keep sewing! If you'd like to make your own contribution to the fundraiser - as some of you have done already - the link above has the instructions to make knitted roses if you don't fancy making a felt one. These need to be given to Springboard by June 7th. Look out for the paper butterfly making at next month's group session - we're investigating origami papers to make the session an easier and more enjoyable one for all our Pewsham Belles friends!
