Last night's Crafty Crew had an opportunity to revisit some of the crafts we've tried over the past couple of years since the Crew got going. The results from paper weaving show a great return for the amount of effort involved, as long as the last contrasting paper in the weave can be slotted carefully into place. Ginny's card making stash once again came to the fore to give us a great choice of papers to use in the weave. A simple felt heart on the WI 's Show the Love theme and our favourite origami butterflies also put in an appearance. The next Crafty Crew is at Caroline's house on March 18th, where we will try our hand at making a macrame plant holder. Bring along a pot or jar you'd like to hang plus any thin cord you'd like to use (Diane showed us one she made earlier using upholstery cord), otherwise there's a giant ball of green jute in Michelle's stash for you to dip into.
