Our creative writing group have a smart new logo and are now called the Creative Writing and Storytelling Group in recognition that the spoken word can be just as compelling as the written one. The first meeting of 2019 got off to a cracking start with Michelle revealing her top tips gleaned from her recent weekend away on a writing workshop. Fiona was on top form with her two new poems, and Wendy had a novel way of finding the next prompt - via the racing card for yesterday's 3.35pm race at Ludlow! Going forward the group will meet on the second Thursday of the month and storytellers of all genres and abilities are welcome to join Wendy at her house at 7.30pm. Here's the next prompt - you can use any of the names from the Amateur Riders' Handicap list as whatever you want - character, place, title etc. Write to any length you fancy, up to 1,000 words.
