It was a meeting with a difference on Saturday when the Happy Hookers were the first Pewsham Belles to try a blended meeting of both Zoom and personal contact. A beautiful summer's day meant they could meet in Gill's garden, joined by Sarah online at her home in Cheshire.
Waffle stitch was the next technique to try, another three-dimensional stitch which gives lots of texture. It proved a successful and popular result and as you can see it looks exactly like a waffle when stitched as a square! It's a great stitch to use for a face cloth or blanket. Here's Bella Coco's video tutorial if you'd like to try it for yourself.
Going forward the group will meet the third Saturday of the month hosted by Gill, though having said that the next session will actually be on Saturday 24th July. Fingers crossed for another day of good weather for a relaxing afternoon of stitching in the garden.
